{"id":3185,"date":"2024-06-04T18:24:49","date_gmt":"2024-06-04T18:24:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cphousingauthority.com\/?page_id=3185"},"modified":"2024-06-04T18:30:21","modified_gmt":"2024-06-04T18:30:21","slug":"recertification","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.cphousingauthority.com\/?page_id=3185","title":{"rendered":"Recertification"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>As a HUD requirement, we must complete an annual recertification 60 days prior to the tenant\u2019s lease renewals. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<u>This Annual Recertification Process consists of<\/u>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Annual gross income: <\/strong><span style=\"color: #1e73be;\"><strong>All household members must provide proof working wages, family help, social security monthly amount, pension, child support, unemployment, etc.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #1e73be;\">Disclose<\/span> <\/strong><strong>assets <\/strong><span style=\"color: #1e73be;\"><strong>such as bank statements for a savings and checking account, IRA\u2019s, Life insurance policies, annuities, Cash App\u2019s, Venmo, Zelle, Square Cash, PayPal, etc.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Medical Expenses <\/strong><span style=\"color: #1e73be;\"><strong>if applicable: Out of pocket medical costs, Receipts for prescriptions, co-pays, or medical treatment.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Childcare Expenses<\/strong><strong>: <span style=\"color: #1e73be;\">Tenants on our HCV (section 8) program that enroll their children in a childcare program, or pay for a babysitter, daycare, or aftercare are entitled to an allowance at recertification.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #1e73be;\"><strong>Any member at the age of 18 or over in the household that is a <\/strong><\/span><strong>full-time student <\/strong><span style=\"color: #1e73be;\"><strong>x<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #1e73be;\"><strong>Completed annual <\/strong><\/span><strong>Inspection of the unit<\/strong><strong>.<span style=\"color: #1e73be;\"> Tenants must comply with the Housing Inspector with scheduling. If the unit fails, the landlord and tenant will be notified. Tenant and landlord must comply with each other for any repairs the unit may need as per the inspection failure.
